About

35+ years of experience optimizing computer-controlled irrigation systems. I believe the first step to managing any irrigation resource starts with the user’s ability to operate, repair and maintain the equipment available to them.

After serving Turf Star, a TORO equipment and irrigation distributor based in California, from 1996–2010 as a field technician, manager and training coordinator, I decided to start Turf Assist.

A green industry professional since 1985, I realized that a career working with irrigation would be my path while working under the direction of irrigation professional, guru and college instructor Karl Sellery at Ocean Hills C.C., Oceanside, CA, in the early ’90s. I attended MiraCosta Community College from 1992–94, with an emphasis on water conservation and horticultural sciences. I received extensive irrigation training from The TORO Company (TORO University) while employed with Turf Star, a TORO distributor in California.
